The Supplement Watch is reader-funded. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no additional cost to you. This page explains how that works and why it never shapes what we write.
How we make money
Running a review site costs money: buying the products, the hours spent testing, hosting and editing. Rather than charge readers or fill the site with display ads, we use affiliate partnerships. When we link to a product's official website and you make a purchase, the merchant may pay us a small commission. Your price is exactly the same whether you use our link or go there directly.
What this does not do
It does not change our opinion, our score or the price you pay. We set our editorial rating based on testing and buyer feedback before any commercial links are added. We are happy to point out the downsides of products we earn from, and you will find criticism throughout our Jelly Tide review. A commission is never a reason to recommend something, and the absence of one is never a reason to bury it.
FTC compliance
We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). That is why you will see a clear disclosure near the top of any page with affiliate links, next to the buttons themselves, and in our footer. We would rather over-disclose than leave you guessing about how we are paid.
How our reviews are written
Our reviews combine first-hand use of a product we bought ourselves with a summary of publicly available buyer ratings. We are an independent publication and are not the manufacturer, the brand or the official store for any product we cover. Links described as going to a product's "official website" are affiliate links to that manufacturer. You can read our full process on the how we test page.
